When you should keep your child home from school or childcare

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a lovely summer break. As we begin the new year I would once again like to thank you all for working together to keep Martinstown National School Covid free. We must however be diligent in our efforts and continue to follow the Covid Protocols for our school. As we approach the autumn season children will inevitably pick up colds etc. Please refer to the following information:

 Covid 19 Symptoms

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

  • Fatigue
  • Aches and pains
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches
  • Runny or Stuffy Nose

  • Diarrhoea

Please refer to the following HSE guide in relation to the above symptoms for children aged between 3 months to 13 years old:

Take care and stay safe,

Majella Clarke
