Martinstown NS enjoys a wide variety of sport throughout the year – Gaelic football, camogie, hurling, basketball, Irish dancing and soccer.

The children enjoy participating in school blitz’ organised with neighbouring schools and the local GAA club – Staker Wallace.

Well done to our FAI Primary Schools Munster Champions!!! All roads now lead to the Aviva on the 29th of May. Beating teams from Cork , Clare, Kerry and Tipperary in the final with a final score of 3 goals to 1.

Sports Roundup 2023/2024

The school has a busy year as our students represented Martinstown NS in a wide array of events.

In October, 6th Class boys took part in the Boys Football Mini 7’s and won the South Primary Shield

In November, Our Active Schools Flag committee ran “Move-ember” to get our school moving and active with different exercies each day.

In February, 3rd and 5th Class travelled to Stakers to take part in an Indoor Hurling and Camogie Blitz.

In February, 5th and 6th Class girls competed in The Mini 7s Camogie competition in Glenroe GAA Grounds. 

FAI- On the 4th of March we travelled to Corbally for the first round, on the 20th of March we played the second round and on the 24th of April we won the County Final Stage. The team and supporters will travel to Cahir Park on Thursday the 16th of May for he Minster Finals.

On Wednesday the 1st of May 5th and 6th Class Travelled to Colaiste Iosaef in Kilmallock to compete in a hurling Blitz. They won the cup!
