September Newsletter 2021

Dear Parents,

The Board of management and staff would like to thank you all for enabling a safe return to school after the summer break.

We would like to extend a special warm welcome to our new Junior Infants: Aoife, Lexi, Adam, Sadhbh, Poppy, Colby, Heather, Eoghan, Aimee and to Saoirse who has joined our Senior Infant class. We hope you will be very happy in our school.

Contacting the School

Any information regarding early collection/change to collection arrangements for children can be directly sent to class teachers on Aladdin Connect. To message your class teacher regarding anything other than absence or early collection click on Attendance and notes then on the send message option. These messages cannot be viewed by other parents. Should you require to speak with the class teacher please leave a message for a call back request and your class teacher will contact you.

In case of emergency during the school day, parents can contact the school mobile on 086-4106238.

Car Park

We have purchased new metal bollards to ensure the safe operation of our “drop and go system” Please be cautious on entering and leaving the carpark. Please enter at the end and exit at the top of the car park. Please do not park or drop off at the bottom of the car park as we ask for this area to be kept free for staff to park in the morning. Please ensure that childminders/anyone collecting children are made aware of this arrangement. If you are unsure of this system, please contact Ms. Clarke.

Book Rental/ photocopying

Closing date for payment of Book rental and Photocopying is at the end of September and October respectively. Book rental and photocopying payments can be made on the Aladdin App. Please check your payments section to ensure payment has been made for both. If you are having any difficulty making payment via Aladdin please contact the school.

Holy Communion

We are delighted that our 3rd class pupils will finally receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday October 16th at 12:00.

Parents Association

The Parents Association AGM will take place via zoom on October 7th 2021 at 8pm. We would like to invite all parents to attend and we especially welcome all new parents to the school. More details to follow.

Special Visit

Split the Pot

Thank you to all who support our Split the Pot draw each week and congratulations to all our winners to so far. We have raised €2,272.00 to date.

Covid -19

If you are unsure whether to send your child to school any morning, please contact reception and we will help to clarify. If children display any Covid-19 symptoms, they must be kept home, and parents should contact their GP. Keep an eye on the Parent Info section of the school website where we have the most up to date information on recommended guidelines.
