Grandparents Day: As part of Catholic Schools Week, our school will celebrate Grandparents Day on Tuesday 29th of January. A special mass for grandparents will take place at 10.30am in Martinstown Church. We would grateful if you could contact the grandparents of our pupils. Parents and family members are also welcome to attend. There will be tea/coffee after mass in the school. Following this, our senior classes will perform their Science Day experiments in the classrooms.

 Science Day (3rd to 6th classes): As mentioned above, our annual Science Day experiments will take place on Tuesday 29th of January at 11.30am.

School Garden Clean Up: We are looking for volunteers to help clean up the school garden on Saturday 26th January, at 10.30am. Tidy-up will involve removal of old pallets and posts. All support appreciated.

Enrolment 2019/20: Enrolment for the 2019/20 school year is now open. Enrolment forms are available with Claire at reception.

School Tours

-3rd to 6th classes will be going to Ballyhass Lakes on the 12th of June. This year’s tour is working out more expensive than previous trips. The cost per pupil will be €45. Parents have the option of paying for this in stages over the coming months if they wish.

-Junior and Senior Infants will be going to Woody’s Fun Club at the Woodland Hotel on the 13th June. The cost per pupil will be €24.

-1st and 2nd class will be going to UL Adventure World on the 13th June. The cost per pupil will be €28.

London Marathon: As some of you may be aware Mr. Gilbourne is running in the London Marathon for the Irish Cancer Society. There is a sponsorship card at reception and he has a Facebook fundraising page set up “Barra’s London Marathon Fundraiser for Irish Cancer Society” if anyone wishes to make a donation. We wish him the best of luck.
